A forest certification label indicates to the consumer that the wood used for a product originates from a forest that has been managed with proper consideration for the economic, social and environmental aspects of sustainable forest use.
A company may be granted chain-of-custody certification if all companies involved in the supply chain have a certified chain-of-custody. This, in turn, entitles the company to apply for a forest certification label.
