Finnforest is part of Metsäliitto Cooperative, which also supplies us with wood raw material. Metsäliitto Cooperative consists of some 130,000 Finnish owner-members, and the bulk of the wood we use originates from their forests. Other wood supply areas are Russia, the Baltic countries and Western Europe.
Our wood comes from sustainably managed forests. It is procured legally and not from protected areas, such as ecologically valuable old-growth forests.
We know the origin of our wood raw material and support forest certification carried out by a credible, independent third party.
